Reality show marriage curse!

Months after Theresa Caputo separated from her husband, the Long Island Medium star's ex Larry tells RadarOnline.com exclusively the show contributed to the demise of their marriage.

Larry, who is now living apart from Theresa on opposite coasts while they move forward with their divorce, blames the hit TLC show for their failed relationship.

Married for 28 years and together for 32, Larry says he had "no idea" what he was getting into when the show first started in 2011, telling RadarOnline.com exclusively it was "exciting and fun in the beginning, but then after the longevity you become more exposed, now it effects your private life."

"When you're in the public eye, it does put a strain on your personal life," he said.

"That can be hard for the average person who is not a trained actor, because a trained actor knows what they're getting themselves into," Larry explained to RadarOnline.com exclusively. "A reality person doesn't realize what they're getting themselves into, until they're in it and it's a learning process."

The reality star's tough filming schedule left little time for their marriage. "What Theresa does is very demanding, and it was consuming most of her time — which takes away from personal time."

"We've grown in different directions."

As readers know, the couple called it quits in December 2017, and they had hoped for a reconciliation but to no avail.

Larry has since moved on with a new lady love since moving to LA 9 months ago.

The marriage troubles were obvious to fans as Caputo also confided in friends during an episode that aired on November 13, “Since the last season of Long Island Medium, Larry and I’s relationship has changed. We’ve been there for each other, you know, through thick and thin, you know, good times, and right now are not such great times. I don’t understand it. I lay in bed, and I say to myself, ‘How did this happen? How did I get here?’ ”

During a confessional in the same episode, the crying reality star elaborated, “I sometimes interpret it as growing apart. I’ve changed and he has changed. We’re both not happy and, you know, it’s hard to try to work through that.”

On the show’s season finale, Larry, 59, got deep about his relationship struggles.

“We’re having a difficult time,” he explained to his friend Danny in the episode. “I think a lot of the frustration has to do with us not spending the time together anymore. Along with that comes the lack of communication so it’s like losing your best friend. It’s hard.”
