Courtney Stodden suffered a miscarriage during her first pregnancy with husband Doug Hutchison, RadarOnline.com has learned.
"It is with a heavy heart to inform you that last week Courtney Stodden suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage," Stodden's rep, Gina Rodriguez, told RadarOnline.com in a statement on Sunday, June 17. "Courtney and her husband, Doug, are at an emotional loss for words and are using this time to grieve with their close family and friends.
"Please respect their privacy as the couple try to cope with losing their precious baby and seek the support they both need," Rodriguez added.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the couple first announced that they were expecting in May. But the joyful time was short lived.
On Saturday, 21-year-old Stodden addressed the miscarriage, writing on Twitter: "I love you my sweet angel. God is embracing you."
Later, she shared a heartbreaking message on Instagram.
Stodden married Hutchinson, who is 34 years her senior, back in 2011, when she was just 16. The couple briefly separated in 2013, but reconciled nine months later.
Their pregnancy came as a surprise, with Stodden calling it both exciting and overwhelming.
"It's a bittersweet time for me right now. I'm dealing with a lot of stress and emotions surrounding life and its ups and downs," the Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn star said at the time. "Doug and I weren't planning on going public with this so soon. I'm only four weeks along in my pregnancy. But some things are out of your control."
