What's old is new again! Yolanda Foster is wasting no time changing her last name after filing for divorce from her estranged husband, David Foster. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will now be known as Yolanda Hadid.
"It was very easy for Yolanda to make the decision to change her name back to Hadid," a source explained to RadarOnline.com of the news, which Andy Cohen revealed on Monday night's Watch What Happens Live. "She wants to have the same last name as her three kids, Bella, Gigi, and Anwar."
Legally, added the source, Yolanda's last name is still Foster, and it will remain so until the divorce is final.
Professionally, however, the reality star will be known as Yolanda Hadid, and she even discussed the name change with her ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid.
"He didn't need to give his blessing, but out of respect for their relationship did so, and he had no issue with it," explained the source.
Along with Yolanda's new name comes a renewed spirit to fight, noted the source.
Last week on RHOBH, Yolanda, 52, confronted Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards after hearing there had been questions about Bella, 19, and 16-year-old Anwar's Lyme disease diagnosis.
"Mohamed pays for the medical bills," revealed Yolanda, which means he knows exactly what treatments Bella and Anwar are receiving and for how long.
Vanderpump was a deer caught in headlights as Yolanda kept pressing about spreading gossip about her children. "What I've gotten from it is that Mohamed said they are healthy," insisted Vanderpump, 55. "I'm saying I never knew they were ill."
Yolanda then presented Vanderpump with Bella and Anwar's medical records so she could educate herself on the disease.
"Yolanda is living her life, and is feeling so much stronger," the source said of Yolanda's determination to battle rumors. "This will be a very exciting chapter of her life."
Especially since her divorce with Foster "is moving along" and "she is letting the lawyers deal with it," continued the source. "There is no ill will towards David, and she wishes him only the best."
