The New Joan? Kathy Griffin Claims She’s In Talks To Replace Rivers On 'Fashion Police’ But E! Denies

No one will ever replace Joan Rivers — but Kathy Griffin claims she’s in talks to take her seat on the Fashion Police set! With E! denying the claims, however, is it just another case of the loud-mouthed comedienne speaking out of turn?
Griffin told People magazine Monday that she is considering the offer to take over from her late friend.
“E! did offer it to me,” she said. "I don't know if the situation is correct or right at this time for me. We'll see."
But a rep for the network denied it’s happening.
"This is absolutely not true,” an E! spokeswoman said, insisting the network is still working to replace Rivers in the hit show, which returns to the air in January.
Rivers, 81, died a week after suffering complications during a procedure at a Manhattan clinic in September.
Griffin, 54, was a close friend of Rivers’ and credits her for inspiring her career. “I would not be doing what I do if it weren't for Joan,” she wrote in a tribute.
