'It’s My Party, You Can Cry If You Want To’: Carole Consoles Heartbroken LuAnn During Drama-Filled B-Day Bash On ‘RHONY’

From rocky relationships to double-crossing lovers, this week’s Real Housewives of New York City was filled with just enough heartache and betrayal to ensure a drama-packed season finale.
After Kristen Taekman’s argument with her husband Josh last week — over his tendency to put his work before her and their children — the former model and her husband attended couple’s therapy in order to get their marriage back on track.
Kristen started the session by saying, “We don’t ever talk about anything. We’re not the kind of couple that’s like, ‘Do you want to get pregnant?’ It’s like, ‘Oh I’m pregnant. Oh sh*t, I’m pregnant again!”
After Kristen discussed their communication issues, Josh explained his concerns about the marriage.
“She doesn’t know what it’s like to run a business,” he groused. “When I’m on a call, I’m not on a personal call — it’s always business-related, and she’s quick to needle me on why I just can’t dismiss certain things.
“I think Kristen has a tendency to spend a lot of time and energy and anxiety around really small things that at the end of the day aren’t really that meaningful to me.”
In response, a tearful Kristen said, “I’m forever and I need a little bit of something; sometimes, I feel like he doesn’t love me.”
When the therapist asked Kristen what she expects from her husband when he has to take a phone call during a date she said, “It’s communication: He should say, ‘I love you so much. I have to take this phone call and I know it really upsets you, so I’m going to buy you a really expensive handbag.’”
“We’ll agree to the first part!” Josh said with a laugh.
“We really made a breakthrough,” Kristen optimistically shared in the confessional. “I really think he’s going to change.”
Meanwhile, Heather Thomson was in charge of Carole Radziwill’s Garden of Eden-inspired 50th birthday party, but Carole’s vision for the party wasn’t as simple as a birthday cake and balloons. The housewife requested decorations such as chandeliers taken from her very own apartment, and even a snake handler!
“What?! She’s smoking crack!” said Heather after hearing of the Carole’s vision. Despite Carole’s impossible demands and constant micromanaging, Heather pulled off the over-the-top event without a hitch. Well, until the other housewives arrived!
When asked where LuAnn De Lesseps’ boyfriend of four years Jacques Azoulay was, LuAnn responded, “Jacques and I broke up.
“We’ve been bickering back and forth for a while. This has been going on for months. We’re just in two different places right now in our lives and as much as we love each other, we love each other enough to recognize it.”

When she began to cry, Carole consoled her by saying, “It’s my birthday and you can cry if you want to!”
“Apparently, I’m the last to find out,” Sonja Morgan said after hearing the breakup news from Ramona Singer. “I know LuAnn much longer than those girls and she’s been giving me sh*t that I’m not there for her?”
Morgan was referring to their Montana getaway where Sonja didn’t stick up for LuAnn when her facialist shared gossip about the Countess.
When Sonja confronted LuAnn about being the last to know, LuAnn said, “Sonja finds out that I’ve broken up with Jacques and her first concern is about Sonja.”
It seemed like things were looking up for Sonja in her relationship with Harry Dubin. Aviva Drescher’s ex-husband and the always-commando housewife dated over 25 years ago, with their relationship “heating up again” in the last few months.
During the party, Harry gave Sonja a ring.
“I’d like to take it to another level,” he said. “I don’t want you to think that I’m not serious about you, I’m totally serious about you. This is a ring for you, it’s not your engagement ring, but it’s a step to that.”
Sonja happily accepted the extravagant present, but her attitude changed once she told Ramona the news.
“I’m scared,” she said. “I put the ring on, took it off, and put it in my purse.”
“That’s not a good sign,” Ramona said.
During Sonja and Ramona’s conversation, Harry walked up to LuAnn and told her, “You are stellarly beautiful.”
As Sonja looked for Harry, the camera cut to LuAnn saying, “I’m single, let’s get out of here,” leading viewers to believe that Harry left the party with LuAnn instead of Sonja.
