‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry Defends Jenelle Evans' Abortion: ‘I'm Pro-Choice’

Teen Mom 2’s fifth season kicked off with a huge bombshell -- when Jenelle Evans revealed she wanted to get an abortion when she found out she was pregnant again.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported Jenelle was pregnant by her husband Courtland Rogers. The source further explained she had the abortion in the early summer, when Courtland was in jail following their April arrest for possession of heroin.
“It would be selfish to Jace if I had another child,” the 21-year-old said during the show.
“I decided that I am going to get an abortion.”
The one-time heroin addict let MTV film her as she dealt with such a controversial procedure. However, many pro-life Teen Mom fans expressed their disappointment with the televised abortion.
One fan reached out to TM2 star Kailyn Lowry about the abortion and vented: “How do you stand by this crap? You're an amazing mother...it doesn't sicken you?”
Kailyn, who has been locked in a contentious custody battle, weighed in on the controversial episode, explaining: "Everyone goes through different things.”
"I'm pro choice, and I wasn't in Jenelle's shoes."
