Britney Spears' camp, leery the mercurial star still might prone to toxic outside influences, have instituted drug testing for the staffers of her Las Vegas residency show Britney: Piece of Me, to ensure their investment is well-protected.
“Anyone who works with Britney, be it her trainer or her hairstylist, has to be tested and open to random pat-downs,” a source tells this week's STAR. “After everything she’s been through, they just want to keep her far away from drugs.”
The Grammy-winning songstress remains under a conservatorship managed by her father Jamie after a series of bizarre incidents from 2006 until 2008 nearly derailed the singer's mega-successful career.
As a result of such safeguards, her current boyfriend David Lucado was forced to undergo a background check before he began dating her.
