NeNe Leakes: ‘I Never Really Wanted To Divorce Gregg’

Days after announcing her plans to remarry her ex-husband Gregg, NeNe Leakes and her fiance sat down with Andy Cohen on Bravo’sWatch What Happens Live, where she opened up about her engagement, outgoing The Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate Kim Zolciak, and what other shows in the franchise she's partial to.

On Sunday's chat, NeNe said she "never really wanted to divorce Gregg," who she wasmarried to for 13 years until 2011.

"I believe that as women, we have to stand for something …. I think that we teach men how to treat us," she said. "I had to stand honey -- take it for what it's worth."

NeNe said she wasn't sure of why her rival Kimabruptly departed the show, and doesn't know her footballer husband Kroy Biermann well enough to say whether he influenced her path out the door.

"The way Kim left the show is the way Kim left the show -- she did that willingly," NeNe said. "The mood definitely changed once Kim left the show, I feel like the girls get along so much better now that she's gone."

The former exotic dancer -- who said she feels like she "owns" the Housewives series -- says her favorite sister city cast is New Jersey.

"My number one housewives are the Jersey girls," the 44-year-old reality star said. "I like them a lot. I think those b*tches are tough, honey!"

Leakes also said she recently moved to Los Angeles, where she tapes NBC’s The New Normal, but that she has still resides also in Atlanta and has no plans to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
