Lindsay Lohan didn’t show up for court in Los Angeles on Tuesday, but her ‘fired’ attorney pled not guilty for her in the case of her lying to the cops in connection with her car accident in Santa Monica, California last summer.
Shawn Holley, who was let go by Lindsay on Monday, told Commissioner Jane Godfrey that she remains Lindsay’s lawyer, responding “Yes, at this point, yes,” when asked if she was still representing the troubled actress.
The commissioner set a pretrial hearing date for January 30 at 8:30 am and ordered Lindsay to personally appear in court. She also set a trial date for February 27 and ordered Lindsay to personally appear then too.
Lindsay reportedly hired Jon Gosselin’s attorney, New York based lawyer Mark Heller, on Monday, but he did not appear on her behalf in court.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lindsay owes Shawn Holley a whopping $300,000 plus in unpaid legal fees.
“Shawn has kept Lindsay out of jail for over five years now and she has no idea how good she has had it,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
As her legal troubles go forward, it seems like Lindsay is smartly going to keep her high-powered attorney by her side.
