With this season of NBC's The Voice winding down, a presumed front runner was shocking sent packing on Tuesday's live semi-finals results episode, leaving three contestants to joust for the show's crown.
SPOILER ALERT: Who Was Eliminated On The Voice?
Despite a string of strong performances that continually blew away the coaches, CeeLo Green protege Trevin Hunte was sent home, setting up a finals trio of rock singer Terry McDermott, ex-Hey Monday lead singer Cassadee Pope (both on Blake Shelton's team) and soul singer Nicholas David (from CeeLo's team).
During his time on the NBC hit, Hunte showcased his booming talent with performances of songs such as Beyonce’s Listen, Mariah Carey’s Vision of Love, and Michael Bolton’s How Am I Supposed To Live Without You, among others.
After his shocking elimination, Green tweeted to the 18-year-old talent: “Much love and support to @Tamor_11 – always giving it 110% This is just the beginning for you! Believe #TeamCeeLo.”
Hunte, for his part, tweeted there's "nothing like family," and re-tweeted several supportive sentiments from followers, including one likening him to Jennifer Hudson (whose talent took her to international superstardom despite losing in American Idol's third season, which Fantasia Barrino eventually won).
Elsewhere Tuesday, former contestants Juliet Simms, RaeLynn and Chris Mann returned to perform.
