Honey Boo Boo has become a breakout television super star but many critics have cried foul at her parents for putting the little girl on TV and now her mama June Shannon is defending her decision to allow her to be on a reality show exclusively to RadarOnline.com.
“I don’t exploit Alana,” June insisted about her daughter Alana Thompson and other family members being on the weekly TLC reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
“I would never exploit my kids. Critics are critics and everybody has their opinions but I am not doing anything wrong,” June vowed.
Honey Boo Boo originally shot to fame on Toddlers & Tiaras and now is starring in her own spin-off, and June said they’re having a good time with the show.
“It’s always been about fun and it’s an experience in life that they can look back at," she said. "We watch the show and wish they put in more stuff!”
The season finale of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo airs Wednesday, September 26 at 10/9c.
