The 26-year-old Twilight star, who grew up in London, is selling the Los Angeles home he once shared with Kristen Stewart after she was caught cheating on him with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
And the handsome actor has his heart set on returning to his hometown, at least temporarily, as he misses his “mates” and family.
“Robert is thinking long and hard about returning to London,” a source close to the star revealed.
“He’s selling his home in Los Angeles, not only because it holds bad memories, but because he wants a fresh start.
“He never fell in love with Los Angeles and has always longed for home. When Kristen was shooting Snow White and the Huntsman in London, he made his excuses to visit her as much as he could - he missed it so much.
“Despite making friends in America, Robert longs just to have a pint with the mates he grew up with in a local west London pub. He’s just a regular guy.
“He is set to make up his mind very soon – his family hasn’t put pressure on him to return – but he misses them very much and they’ve said they’d welcome him back with open arms,” the source said.
According to reports, Robert listed the $6.3 million Los Feliz home because, “he said there are too many memories.”
The house which sits "on an acre and a half of land and has a 150-person screening room and amazing gardens," used to be owned by ER star Noah Wylie, but the Cosmopolis star bought the lavish property in September 2011.
Another source says Rob and Kristen “are talking” and that "Rob doesn’t hate her and he's not mad . . . He just doesn't get why she did it. He loves her and thinks about her constantly.”
He's been putting on a brave front and promoting his projects, but Kristen is "close to a total meltdown," according to a report. “She isn't sleeping and she stays up all night crying.”
