The Real L Word stars Whitney Mixter and Sara Bettencourt are engaged, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting!
The two girls star on Showtime's reality-TV hit and have been on-again-off-again for a couple years, but things got very serious recently.
Sources close to the couple tell RadarOnline.com a California wedding is planned for later this year.
"Whitney and Sara couldn't be happier together and are really excited to get married," the insider claims.
"They're incredibly in love and proud that the Showtime cameras will rolling for their nuptials because they'll be joining the ranks of only a few lesbians in the public eye like Ellen DeGeneres and Chely Wright that have tied the knot."
According to the source, Whitney caught Sara off guard with her proposal — which will also air on season 3 of The Real L Word, premiering on July 12.
"The cameras have captured most of their relationship together, and now they're going to document the beginning of their future together," the source said.
"It will be the first televised lesbian wedding!"
A rep for the girls had no comment when RadarOnline.com reached out.
