Mary Richardson Kennedy was laid to rest Saturday afternoon at a Centerville, Mass. cemetery not far from the famed Kennedy compound in Hyannisport.

Her estranged husband, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and three of their four children -- Kyra, Aiden and Conor -- all gathered at her coffin before it was lowered into the grave. Young William, who had helped carry his mother's coffin into the church earlier in the day, reportedly stood back from that final moment, comforted by other family members.

A funeral mass took place Saturday morning in Bedford. It was attended by many of the Kennedy family's celebrity friends including Glenn Close, Larry David, Susan Sarandon, Edward James Olmos and Chevy Chase.

RadarOnline.com broke the news of Mary's suicide. She was found hanging in the barn of her Bedford, New York home.

She and Robert had been estranged for two years, and had a court hearing coming up in August with him trying to get full custody of the four children.
