Talk about reality TV: A mama bear and three of her cubs interrupted a live local newscast in Scranton, Pennsylvania Monday, setting up a surreal sequence that's got "Viral Video" written all over it.
Here's how it all went down: The station WNEP was about to broadcast a weather segment with meteorologist Kurt Aaron outside its' backyard for it's 11 pm broadcast. At that point, the special guests arrived.
"I walked out there, and I turn around and I hear the sound -- and the bear's literally ten feet from me!" Aaron, safely in the studio, explained. "And I ran like I stole something, I'm not gonna lie!
"That was a big bear," he said of the mama. "And she didn't look very happy."
The crew stayed inside the building, watching from the windows. Eventually, a high-pitched alarm sounded, causing the bears to scurry out of the area.

Fun fact: Cubs traditionally stay with their mothers until they are 18 months to 2-years-old; some might stay an extra year for protection from mama.
