The 27-year-old Sollecito, according to ABC News, is on the West Coast to look for a job in Los Angeles and Seattle (reportedly Microsoft). He might also be working toward a book deal during his trip, following in the footsteps of his ex, who pocketed $4 million from publisher HarperCollins last month for the rights to her story.

It’s not yet known Sollecito plans on visiting Knox, 24, while in the Emerald City, as both have moved onto new relationships.

The last time they were seen together was following their freeing from Italy’s Capanne prison, where they were held until their convictions were overturned in October 2011. (In 2009, both Knox and Sollecito were convicted and sentenced in the murder of the British student Kercher, with Sollecito getting 25 years and Knox getting 26.)
