It should have been a perfect night -- two girls on his arm, dinner at a top restaurant -- so why was Valentine's Day such a let down for Hugh Hefner?
The 86-year-old Playboy founder had to leave dinner early on Tuesday night, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned what was behind his early departure from Valentino's restaurant.
"Hef hasn't been feeling well, but he didn't want to disappoint Anna and Shera," a source close to him said. "He left the Mansion for dinner but was so sick by the time that he got to the restaurant that he couldn't even enjoy the wonderful meal he'd planned for his girlfriends."
The group headed out of the restaurant, and then Hef immediately went to bed at his Holmby Hills estate. He has been fighting a cold and has been under the weather lately, but sources close to the Playboy mogul said the recent legal troubles with his son may be the cause of some of his problems.
"Could Hef be stressed about everything with Marston? It seems possible," the source said.
Being sick didn't stop him from enjoying the presents he gave to the girls though. "Hef loved seeing Anna and Shera try on the lingerie he gave them."
