Griffin O'Neal Sentenced To 16 Months In Prison For DUI Crash

Ryan O'Neal's son Griffin O'Neal has been sentenced to 16 months in prison after pleading guilty to two felony counts of driving under the influence and possession of a firearm by a felon (he already had a considerable rap sheet).
His sentencing on Friday in San Diego County Superior Court was for an incident last August where Griffin hit another car, injuring the driver, while he was under the influence, and cops then found the gun in his car.
His lawyer said Griffin had fallen off the wagon after five years of sobriety. He went back into rehab after the incident but was arrested again -- as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported -- on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge just last month.
His sentence is to a state prison, not a rehab center like the one where his half-brother Redmond O'Neal is now in residence.
