Zooey Deschanel Files For Divorce From Husband Ben Gibbard

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, estranged from rocker husband Ben Gibbard since November, has filed for divorce.
Deschanel, 31, made it official in Los Angeles last week, citing "irreconcilable differences" in paperwork she filed December 27 to end their 2-year marriage.
According to court docs, the couple separated Halloween on October 31 – coincidentally the same day Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from hubby Kris Humphries.
In November, Deschanel’s rep confirmed that the couple had split.
As we previously reported, the Golden Globe-nominated actress and 35-year-old Death Cab for Cutie singer got engaged in December 2008 -- he reportedly gave her a three-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane ring when he proposed -- and tied the knot in September 2009.
Deschanel had previously been romantically linked to actor/musician Jason Schwartzman and Maroon 5's Mickey Madden.
