Veteran actor James Farentino died of heart failure Tuesday at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital at 73, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The darkly handsome actor racked up more than 100 credits in TV and film, including notable recurring roles on TV franchises like Dynasty, the original Melrose Place, The Bold Ones: The Lawyers and ER in a career that spanned more than four decades.
Farentino is also remembered for a fiery relationship with Frank Sinatra's daughter Tina, which bottomed out in 1994 after he pleaded no-contest to stalking her.
The Brooklyn-born actor had more legal woes in 2010 when he was arrested on suspicion of battery in Hollywood after he reportedly tried to physically remove a man from his house.
Farentino was married four times, most famously to actress Michelle Lee in the early-1960s, making for a Hollywood power couple in their day.
Farentino is survived by his fourth wife Stella and two sons, David and Saverio.
