Giuliana Rancic is ready to have her surgery.

The E! News host told her co-worker Ryan Seacrest that Monday, December 12 will be her last day at work before she has her double mastectomy.

“I’ll be on E! News Monday and then I’ll be out of your hair for two weeks,” she said on Ryan’s KIIS FM 102.7 radio show Tuesday morning.

Giuliana, 37, announced she was battling breast cancer in August, and told the Today Show that she made the decision to have the double mastectomy instead of radiation treatment. “To be honest, at the end, all it came down to was choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder the rest of my life,” she said.

Revealing the news that she was undergoing the major surgery gave her peace. “I felt good,” she told Ryan about the announcement. “It was good; it was a sigh of relief to be able to talk about it. You never know why I miss a day here or there because I try to keep everything a secret. It is nice to finally get it all out there.”

Guiliana will be working right up to the surgery. Last night she worked the red carpet in New York for the In the Land of Blood and Honey premiere, where she interviewed Angelina Jolie.
