Britney Spears is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Jason Trawick — and RadarOnline.com was first to exclusively tell you she would be.
Trawick, 40, did some serious ring shopping in November and sources told RadarOnline.com, "The ring will be classy and under 4-carats."
And, true enough RadarOnline.com has exclusive details on the ring, which perfectly fits that description. A source close to the couple reveals that the Neil Lane ring is over three carats and is a platinum and diamond band with a large classic round diamond. The source describes the ring as “simple, elegant and totally Jason and Britney’s style.”
According to insiders, Trawick popped the question on Thursday night — his 40th birthday — and Spears was ecstatic.
"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo," she tweeted on Friday morning.
Spears and Trawick are Vegas bound Friday to celebrate his birthday at the Paris hotel, where Brit is sure to show off her new bling.
"Britney is truly in love with Jason, and well, Jason has loved her for a very, very long time," a family insider told RadarOnline.com last week.
But even though the happy couple are engaged now, as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, they won't be actually tying the knot until several lawsuits against the pop singer are settled — including one by her former manager, Sam Lutfi.
"Lawyers for Britney's conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation, and the lawsuit involving her Elizabeth Arden fragrance. First of all, everyone involved wants Britney to get married once the conservatorship has been lifted," the source told RadarOnline.com.
"She could get married under the conservatorship, but the judge would have to sign off on it. If that were to happen, lawyers repping Lutfi would absolutely go into court and argue that if Britney were able to get married, she should be able to be deposed. There is no way Team Spears is going to let that happen. It will likely be a long engagement, which is fine with Britney and Jason. They are 100% solid and very much in love."
This will be the singer’s third marriage — her first, in 2004, to childhood friend Jason Alexander lasted only 55 hours and her second to rapper/dancer Kevin Federline ended in divorce in 2007 after three years, they have two children together — Sean Preston and Jayden James.
