Just one look at Julianne Hough and it's clear that dancing does a body good! The gorgeous dancer-turned-singer-turned-actress is gettin' loose on the big screen in her very-first starring role in the remake of Footloose, which hits the bigscreen Friday. Shape magazine has all the details about how the Dancing with the Stars beauty got ready for her big, blockbuster moment!
To get her ready for the role, Footloose choreographer Jamal Sims worked with Hough eight hours a day, five days a week for four weeks, supplementing her dance training with workouts on the treadmill, elliptical, or stationary bike, along with sculpting moves and free weights.
"Julianne is a fighter. She even went to the gym before our intense rehearsals," Sims says. "She is such a hard worker and really pushes through the pain. Sometimes I would cut rehearsal short because I didn't want her to over do it."
