Lindsay Lohan Spending Sentence Reading, Cooking & Watching Movies

It’s a tough life in captivity if you are a Hollywood starlet!

Lindsay Lohan is using the opportunity of being confined to her swanky Venice Beach pad for violating terms of her probation, to do some soul searching RadarOnline.com has learned.

Due to prison overcrowding and the nature of her crime, instead of being locked up in jail Lindsay has been allowed to serve her sentence at home wearing an electronic ankle bracelet.

"Lindsay is spending some much needed time by herself, reading, cooking and watching movies, as well as talking with her representatives about future projects,”  Lindsay's publicist, Steve Honig tells RadarOnline.com. “She is also receiving occasional visits from family and close friends.”

Lindsay is scheduled to begin filming on the Gotti film in the next few months.

Lindsay's ankle monitor went off on Monday, but not due to any wrong doing on Lohan’s part, instead it was caused by an equipment malfunction.

Lindsay’s powerhouse attorney, Shawn Holley, told RadarOnline.com: "Lindsay's electronic monitoring system went off on Monday. When a representative from the monitoring company went to her home, the representative found Lindsay there. The equipment was replaced the following day."
