AUDIO: Hear Amber Portwood’s Suicide 911 Call

It was baby daddy and self-professed boyfriend Gary Shirley who called 911 on Tuesday morning fearing Amber Portwood was trying to end her life.

RadarOnline.com has obtained the 911 call in which Gary reveals this isn’t the first time the Teen Mom star has threatened suicide.

“I spoke with my girlfriend…she had said something to me about having a hard time with her life,” Gary told the operator.

“She said, ‘Call the police, they’re going to find my body in the garage.’”

Amber, 21, was found by authorities face-up on her couch and was immediately transported to St. Johns Hospital by ambulance.“She’s said this several times,” Gary said, admitting that this isn’t the first time Amber has talked about taking her own life.

“She’s going to hang herself.”

Star magazine was first to report Amber’s suicide attempt via RadarOnline.com, and according to a source she was found unconscious in her home with a rope around her neck.

“When two EMT workers arrived, they removed the rope that Amber had loosely knotted around her neck. They tried speaking with her, but she was in and out of consciousness and couldn’t respond; she was just moaning,” the source said.

Police later confirmed Star’s story with a statement that read: “Late this morning (11:34 a.m.), Anderson Police responded to a call at a residence in the 1300 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive.  According to the caller, 21-year-old Amber L. Portwood was depressed and threatening to end her life.  The victim, who did not appear to be injured, was transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation.”
