The singer of Jessie’s Girl, and guest star in Showtime’s Californication, was nabbed by Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies at the wheel of his blue Corvette in Malibu, Calif.

Springfield, 61, was taken into custody around 8 p.m. PST after stumbling through a series of field sobriety tests, L.A. Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Chew told RadarOnline.com. The singer was booked and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

A witness to the arrest told RadarOnline.com: “He Springfield looked pretty gone, like he’d been having a really good time. A friend of his had to drive his car away.”
