Jessie's Girl singer Rick Springfield was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI.

The 80s heartthrob was apprehended by L.A. County Sheriff's Deputies in his blue Corvette in Malibu, California, a block off of Pacific Coast Highway on a street named Trancas.

Springfield, 61, was taken into custody around 8 pm PT Sunday after stumbling though a series of field sobriety tests, L.A. Sheriff’s Lt. Chew told RadarOnline. The singer was booked, and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

"Springfield was stopped due to a traffic violation and was subjected to a sobriety test,” Lt. Chew told RadarOnline. “He failed and was then arrested and taken to Malibu Sheriff's station where he tested for alcohol levels. He reportedly blew at .10 and then a .08."

A witness to the arrest told RadarOnline.com that police “made him get out and do the full sobriety field test.

“He looked pretty gone, like he’d been having a really good time,” the witness said. “A friend of his had to drive his car away.”

In addition to his music, Springfield has also acted on General Hospital and Californication, where he bared his butt.
