Getting engaged has not only brought happiness to Jessica Simpson, it's also brought interest for a lucrative new business of bridal jewelry designed by the star, one of her designer pals tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive video interview.

The curvy blonde, engaged to Eric Johnson, could expand her billion dollar empire in a joint venture with celebrity designer Pascal Mouawad.

"We've had interest from several large retailers across the country to carry a bridal line designed by Jessica," Mouawad told us.

While no deal has been inked yet, Mouawad -- who has collaborated with other A-list stars including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Bridget

Marquardt -- said a Simpson bridal line would be a winner.

"I think it would be very glamorous," Mouawad told RadarOnline.com at the The Hospitality Suite at the Nivea for Men Mansion, which was hosted at his Beverly Hills estate.

The 30-year-old Texan grossed nearly $1 billion through a fashion empire that includes jeans, swimwear, shoes, lingerie and accessories and perfumes.

She and Mouawad have already teamed up to market a collection of affordable watches, which will launch in the fall.

They are so close that Mouawad plans to give her a diamond necklace for her upcoming nuptials.

"I'm still making it right now and it's also somewhat of a surprise," he told RadarOnline.com. (Well, it was!)

"No one really knows what it looks like, but it's something she'll be receiving shortly."

Mouawad said: "It will be over 10 carats. I hope she likes it. I'm sure she will!"

They were also primped by Mika Fowler of Gavert Atelier salon, George Papanikolas of Andy Lecompte salon and Valerie Beverly Hills makeup.
