Kris Humphries does not have herpes, according to Kris Humphries. Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband has insisted he is clean ever since being sued by former one-night stand Kayla Goldberg, who says he gave her the STD. But in new court documents obtained by Radar, Goldberg’s attorneys claim the NBA player has actually admitted he never has been tested for the disease, so now they want him to prove he’s clean where it counts — in the doctor’s office.
Goldberg has claimed that she was diagnosed with herpes shortly after hooking up with Humphries on August 31, 2010. “Since the outset of litigation, Humphries has steadfastly denied having any herpes virus,” the documents note. However, “Humphries has also admitted that he has never been tested for herpes simplex virus type 1. … At the same time, Humphries has refused to submit to a test for sexually transmitted infections to lay this matter to rest.”
Now, Goldberg has asked a judge to force him to get tested, noting in the documents that “Good cause for a physical examination of Mr. Humphries including a test for sexually transmitted infections exists because Humphries denies that he is infected with any herpes virus, yet has simultaneously admitted to not having been tested for herpes simplex virus type 1. In essence, Humphries wants Plaintiff and this Court to take him at his word that he is free of any herpes virus while refusing to submit to tests that prove that is so.”
As such, Goldberg has made an appointment for Humphries on June 16, 2014, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, at 10 a.m., and in documents filed on April 28, she asked the judge in the case to force Humphries to show.
Humphries has so far refused her request — and refused to answer her interrogatories — because, according to his interrogatories response, such questions are “an invasion of privacy, violating work-product and … [seeking] information that protects communications between a patent and his medical provider.”
His response further notes that “he has been tested for sexually transmitted infections,” but does not mention herpes simplex 1 in particular.
Earlier this year, a source told Radar that Humphries had taken and passed a blood test proving he had no sexually transmitted diseases, but the results of any such test have not been made publicly available.
