Victoria Beckham's obsession with security — following two attempted break-ins on her mansion — is pushing her marriage to the brink!

As RadarOnline.com can report, the former Spice Girl has become fixated on using a CCTV system to monitor all of her and husband David Beckham's properties. She has even had new cameras installed so she can keep a lookout from anywhere in the world!

But her obsession has grown "out of control" since she witnessed a second attempted burglary in her estate just last week! At the time, police chased down the thieves — who are thought to be part of a notorious family of drug-dealing gypsies — using attack dogs.

Of course, it came weeks after the first attempted break-in in October, when a trio of thieves managed to place a ladder against the designer's $7.8million home in the Cotswolds, south England — where David, 43, Victoria, 44, and their four kids spend most of their weekends — to eye up valuables through a first-floor window.

Cops were quickly called to the scene and the thieves were not able to enter the property. And while no harm was done on either occasion, Victoria is not letting the incidents go, and has recently been spending hours obsessing over the safety of their homes. Because of this, laid-back David is now becoming extremely irritated.

A source close to the Beckhams said: "The big division between Victoria and David is their personalities. She is a control-freak who has always obsessed over every little detail of her life and appearance — and he's a more easy-going lad who enjoys a party."

"He agrees they need to be mindful of security, but Victoria, as usual, is taking things to extremes," added the insider. "She constantly logs on to their CCTV cameras to see if anyone is targeting their houses in the English countryside, London and America, and is being her usual twitchy self over the issue."

RadarOnline.com readers know the security drama comes weeks after Victoria fled to a German stress clinic when husband David described their marriage as "hard work" in an interview.

A pal said it was as if a "nuclear bomb had gone off" in the Beckham house after his embarrassing comments.

Her stay at Baden-Baden's $1,300-a-night Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa at the end of October also came just four months after the stars were hit with rumors that their 19-year marriage was on the rocks — all which they denied.

David has since been spotted larking around with his kids without Victoria in sight. And even though the ex-singer went trick-or-treating with her family this Halloween, pals say the retired soccer hunk is increasingly trying to distance himself from Posh.

In his TV interview on Australia's The Sunday Project, David said: "When you've been married for the amount of time that we have, it's always hard work. It becomes a little more complicated."
