You knew it was gonna happen, and on Monday's edition of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you got to see it -- Adrienne Maloof and husband Paul Nassif splitting up, with their seemingly-healthy marriage crumbling under the weight of fame and fortune.

Things unraveled at a promotional party Adrienne threw for her vodka line Zing, when Paul irked her by chowing down on cheese samples in the kitchen.

"Me first, me first and then when I need help, it's sayonara," Adrienne said of her soon-to-be-estranged husband, while she chastised him for not helping her prepare for the bash.

Paul glumly responded, "Typical day, typical insult."

Then, with a cadre of painted male models walking around, Paul joined the group to Adrienne's dismay.

Later on in the episode, we see the couple finally announce they're breaking up with a statement online.

Maloof's nemesis Brandi Glanville, riding in a limo with pal Jennifer Gimenez, openly suspected the breakup was a publicity stunt (though time has held the story to be true, as both have been involved in new relationships since). Brandi said that she wasn't surprised in the wake of the breakup after hearing rumors of an open marriage between Adrienne and Paul.

Of course, Adrienne is gone from the show, and no-showed the reunion episode thereafter.
