Wendy Williams shocked her viewers on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 by revealing she's been receiving treatment for addiction issues and has been living in a sober house.
The TV host, who exhibited bizarre on camera behavior and then took a long break from her talk show, finally revealed her addiction struggle.
RadarOnline.com exclusively exposed photos and details about the run-down PURE Recovery in Long Island City, Queens, where Williams is being treated.
Things only got worse from Williams after she was reportedly rushed to the hospital Monday, March 25 after relapsing on alcohol! She was rushed to the ER after her team found her intoxicated after she checked herself out of rehab, according to DailyMail.com.
The alleged relapse came after her husband Kevin Hunter’s suspected mistress, Sharina Hudson, gave birth to a baby daughter mid March.
But it's just the latest bombshell in the long downward spiral of Williams, 54.
Before her addiction confession, she's suffered from a shoulder fracture and Grave's disease and marriage problems with allegedly cheating husband Kevin Hunter.
Williams was hit hard by rumors that her husband Hunter's longtime mistress Sharina Hudson was pregnant with his baby, as RadarOnline.com has exclusively reported.
Both Williams and Hunter have vehemently denied those reports.
On March 19, the host of The Wendy Williams Show made an explosive live admission, telling fans "for some time now and even today and beyond I have been living in a sober house."
Williams previously talked about her past cocaine addiction, saying she would always be in recovery.

Williams said on her March 19, 2019 show, "So, you know me for being a very open and truthful person. I’ve got more to the story for you. The truth — oh, um, you know my husband Kevin and I have the Hunter Foundation for the good of the people. And we recently launched our 888-5 hunter number for those of you caught up in the struggle of addiction. Well, for some time now and even today and beyond I have been living in a sober house."
Stunned Audience
The talk show host elaborated during her March 19, 2019 live, on-air confession, "When you see me come to work, glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you, two hours a day or like to take care of my body. And you know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped."
Sober Living
Williams admitted to fans that she’s living apart from her husband, Kevin Hunter, and sleeping in a sober house with other recovering addicts. As she continues treatment, she has a coach available to her all day every day. "Only Kevin and Kevin have known about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew. Because I look so glamorous out here," she said on her TV show. "After I finished my appointments, seeing my brothers and sisters, breaking bread, I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to the home that I live in here in the Tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family."
Dark Details
RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed photos and details about the PURE Recovery in Long Island City, Queens, where Williams is being treated. "I go to my room, and I stare at the ceiling and I fall asleep to wake up and come back here to see you. So that is my truth," she told her audience about the place. RadarOnline.com learned that the facility offers methods including: "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Shaeffer's Syndrome Model of Addiction, EMDR, Mindfulness and Meditation, Pharmacotherapy, MET, CRAFT."
Cocaine Confession
After Williams' return to her show after a long absence, she talked about her past cocaine addiction, saying she would always be in recovery. "Crack is wack," she said on a March 5, 2019 segment. "I was a mess…killing myself. I realized I am a walking addict. You can’t just clean it up and stop it. I wasted a lot of my life burning my insides. You never know when it can pop up. I constantly have to watch the inside of my body because of hard partying, just a mess." She then launched a substance abuse hotline.

The alleged relapse came after her husband Kevin Hunter’s suspected mistress gave birth to their love child. The alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, reportedly gave birth to a daughter last week.
“She was in a bad way and disappeared from the studio after her show Monday,” a source told the website. “She went back to the sober house only to check herself out and decided to start drinking.”
The insider continued to claim, “It’s not clear where she went but she headed in the direction of her home in Jersey and managed to find alcohol along the way. Word got back to the studio and there was panic and concern, everyone was looking for her, no one knew whether there would be a show today. She was eventually found and was drunk, she was immediately taken to the hospital.”
Grave Issue
Williams has battled Grave's disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes overstimulation of the thyroid.
Health Break?
When Williams returned to her show after a three-month hiatus on March 4, 2019, she blamed her absence on Grave's disease. “So what had happened was we were only supposed to be off two weeks for Christmas vacation,” Williams revealed. "And towards the end of the two weeks, I started to feel thyroid issues." But later in March, she 'fessed up that she's also been living in a sober house.
