Wendy Williams is still MIA. After months of bizarre behavior and scary health crises, the show host has pushed back her TV return date for the second time.
Variety reported that this Wednesday, The Wendy Williams Show producer confirmed that due to an injury, the star will return to work on January 21.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the network previously announced Williams, 54, would return on January 7, but later pushed the date back to January 14, saying she needed more time to heal from her shoulder fracture.
At the same time it was reported that the star’s longtime husband, Kevin Hunter, got his secret mistress, Sharina Hudson, pregnant — a claim which both he and Williams have denied.
RadarOnline.com readers know Williams has had a rough few months. Apart from her hubby’s cheating scandal, she’s also shocked her daytime show viewers with her slurred speech and strange demeanor onstage. This December, she even addressed the issue, blaming her actions on strong pain medications.
Ever since she began her break last month, the network has been running The Wendy Williams show reruns, but starting January 14, they will bring on a panel of “Hot Talkers” to replace the famous host until she returns.
“As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said. “Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair.”
