Arie Luyendyk Jr. shocked on last night’s finale of The Bachelor when he dumped Becca Kufrin for runner-up Lauren Burnham. With Luyendyk Jr. coming under fire for his controversial decision, go inside The Bachelor reject’s past!
In November, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported Kufrin was hit with a summons for underage drinking.
In a complaint obtained from the Blue Earth County District Court in Minnesota, Kufrin, 27, received a summons for “underage consumption” on January 17, 2009.
Kufrin pled guilty to the misdemeanor. She was ordered to pay at least $431 in fines.
Luyendyk Jr. got down on one knee and proposed to Kufrin. “This morning, I woke up and I thought about you,” he said. “I thought about you and our kids together, I thought about us when we’re old. I choose you today, but I choose you every day from here on out. I love you so much. Becca, will you marry me?”
But after spending time together, he couldn’t get Burnham out of his mind. “Sometimes when I’m on these little getaways with Becca I think, what would this be like with Lauren?” he confessed. “It just kills me, because I have a great woman next to me. I go to bed and I think about Lauren. I wake up and I think about Lauren. And I know Becca sees when I struggle. She sees the fact that my mind is somewhere else. She knows that I think about Lauren.”
He then told Becca, “You know that I’ve been struggling a little bit. I think over the last couple of times we’ve been hanging out, I’ve been really trying to sort my feelings out and trying to grasp this whole thing. I still think about her. I think you sense that. I want to see if there’s that possibility.”
After the Final Rose airs tonight at 8pm on ABC.
