Amber Portwood has quit Teen Mom OG, while sources claim Bristol Palin may also leave the series. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Cory Wharton reveals if he’s returning next season with Cheyenne Floyd and their daughter Ryder!
“We want to return,” Wharton told RadarOnline.com. “Hopefully there is another season. I’m sure you will see us again.” Wharton confirmed they haven’t started filming for the upcoming season.
Portwood quit the series on the finale episode, claiming the show “ruined” her name. Portwood continues to be the victim of social media bulling over her parenting. As for Palin, an insider told RadarOnline.com she “doesn't want to do another season” because of “aggressive” editing.
But Wharton feels “lucky” to be on the show and is happy with his storyline. “We filmed a lot more s**t than they ended up showing,” he said. “They showed the convos they asked for you to have. The network has to make a show. We’re not producers, we’re talent. MTV did a great job.”
He said of Portwood, “Amber needs to know what she signed up for. The network is not making you say something. They’re not telling you what to say.”
If there is another season, Wharton hopes Portwood will return. “Amber is a big part of the show,” he said.
He also feels Palin should come back for a second season. “You guys aren’t invested in us,” he said. "The whole season was a preview. For me and Cheyenne, it’s like, how are these two going to handle co-parenting. What happens when Cory dates someone else? How is she going to take it when the tables are turned?
