Woody Harrelson Punches Man At D.C. Rooftop Bar Who Lunged At Him Unprovoked, Police Respond

Woody Harrelson had quite the night after getting into a physical altercation with a stranger who bothering his family.
The 60-year-old actor was hanging out at the Watergate Hotel with his daughter late last night.
Sources claim the two were chatting it up when they noticed a man — who was a bit tipsy – taking photos of them from afar. Woody reportedly got up and walked over to the man. A source said the actor approached the man and requested him to delete the photos.”
The two got into a verbal argument and the man “lunged” at Woody. The actor told police the stranger tried to grab his neck. Woody said he punched the man in self-defense.
The incident went down around 11 PM at the Top of the Gate bar. Washington D.C. police confirmed the incident to The Washington Post.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene and ran back to his hotel room in the Watergate. Sources claim law enforcement was able to track him down and arrest the man. Criminal charges are still pending and have yet to be filed.
Woody was questioned by police but was not charged with any crime. The officers who arrived on the scene made the determination that the actor was in the right and did not start the fight.
Woody and his team have yet to comment on the matter. He is currently in town filming the series The White House Plumbers, which is being shot inside the famous hotel.
The name of the suspect is set to be released after the charges are officially filed by prosecutors.
