Former Love & Hip Hop star Stevie J has slapped his wife Faith Evans with divorce papers after 3 years of marriage.
According to court records, the 50-year-old music producer has filed the petition in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The couple got hitched back in July 2018 in a small Vegas ceremony in a hotel room.
The wedding was a shock to their closest friends and family. They did not have any children together.
The split comes over a year after Evans was arrested for domestic violence following a fight with Stevie J.

The singer was arrested in May 2020 after cops were called to their L.A. home. The two had been fighting verbally but it turned physical. Officers who responded to the scene noticed Stevie had visible marks on his body. They determined that Faith was the aggressor and booked her for felony domestic violence. She bonded out hours later.
A month later, the charges were dismissed are the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced they would not pursue the case because Stevie J refused to testify.
Stevie J appears to have blindsided his wife with divorce papers. On Instagram, Evans has been acting like their relationship was fine. Last week, she posted a photo of her husband captioned, "Happy & blessed birthday Mr. J! Hurry up, so we can turn up!" He commented on the post with a series of rocket ships.
Back in 2011, Evans filed for divorce from her second husband/music exec Todd Russaw despite being separated since December 2005. The couple had been married since 1997. She is the widow of her first husband, Notorious B.I.G.
Stevie J also has a daughter with his ex Joseline Hernadez. The two have been fighting in and out of court for years. He even convinced a judge sign off on an arrest warrant at one point. The exes appear to be on good terms at the moment with neither running to court in the past year or so.
Evans has yet to comment on the divorce petition.
