Meghan McCain Quitting 'The View', Blindsiding Cohosts Whoopi & Joy Behar

Meghan McCain will be announcing her resignation from ABC's hit talk show The View on today's show but will be doing so without telling her cohosts.
According to Daily Mail, the conservative mouthpiece has had enough of the back and forth with the ladies over the past couple of months. She will be letting the fans know she is wrapping up her 4-year run on the show.
Meghan joined the show as a permanent host for the show back in 2017. She had previously been a guest host between 2008 and 2010. The 36-year-old had finished four seasons but still had two years left on her contract.
An insider told the outlet her cohosts "are not aware that Meghan has resigned." Meghan did not inform Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, or Ana Navarro of her shocking decision.
Another source said the producers have "tried to keep her, but she is adamant that now is the right time for her to leave."
Meghan and ABC have yet to officially comment on the situation.
The decision for her to leave is not the most surprising despite her still having two years left on her contract.
In the past couple of months, the tension between Meghan and her cohosts Whoopi & Joy was noticeable. The three could not agree on topics and would often cut each other off during the show.
Meghan frequently spoke out about how she felt they were not treating her right and claimed to be the voice for unheard Republicans.
Joy and Meghan have been getting into it ever since Meghan returned from maternity leave. After she came back, Joy made it crystal clear that she wasn't missed by the ladies during her break. The two could barely hate their hatred for each other from the viewers.
Meghan, Joy & Whoopi would often duke it out during Hot Topics but would come back the next day acting like friends. It would appear Meghan has had enough of it all.
Sources say she will continue working on the show until the end of July.
