Matt Gaetz Says He Will Run For President In 2024 Despite DOJ's Alleged Sex Trafficking Investigation

Matt Gaetz is throwing his name in the ring for a possible candidate to run against Joe Biden in 2024 but ignoring the fact that he's reportedly under investigation for alleged sex trafficking.
"I support Donald Trump for president. I've directly encouraged him to run and he gives me every indication he will. If Trump doesn't run, I'm sure I could defeat whatever remains of Joe Biden by 2024," Gaetz told The New York Post.
The timing of the revelation is suspicious. At the moment, Gaetz is being investigated by the feds who want to know if he slept with a 17-year-old girl and paid her to travel across state lines for sex. Sources say the investigation centers around allegations Gaetz hired escorts and liked to take ecstasy during sex romps in Florida hotel rooms.
The case against the Florida politician is only starting to heat up too. His ex-girlfriend had her iPhone seized and is working with the investigators turning over evidence against Gaetz.
Gaetz's former "wingman" Joel Greenberg reached hashed out a deal with prosecutors. He was facing decades in prison on sex trafficking charges before agreeing to testify against his former friend.
Greenberg admitted to spending over $70,000 on escorts in a two-year period. He liked to find the young girls on sugar daddy websites where he could work out a financial arrangement with the women. Gaetz and Greenberg reportedly liked to share "girlfriends" with each other.
One of the girls Greenberg met was only 17. Despite her age, he continued hanging out with the girl and paying her for sex.
The girl reportedly slept with several of Greenberg's friends.
Greenberg allegedly said Gaetz was one of the people who slept with the 17-year-old escort. Another witness claimed to have seen the politician snorting cocaine with a prostitute in a hotel room following a speech he gave at a Trump event.
Gaetz denies ever paying for sex or that he slept with a 17-year-old. He claims to be the victim of a massive extortion plot. For the past couple of weeks, since news broke of the DOJ investigation, Gaetz has carried on with his life like nothing is wrong.
The Department of Justice has yet to charge Gaetz but the investigation is still active.
