Axed ‘RHOC’ Star Kelly Dodd Hits With Gay Club Days After Being Accused Of Making Transphobic Remarks On Cameo

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd decided to party with the LGBTQ+ community amid the backlash against her.
Over the weekend, Kelly and her husband Rick Leventhal were spotted at the Orange County gay bar Strut.
The two were seen in the VIP booth being served drinks while taking in the DJ set. The decision for Kelly to be seen at a gay club is interesting given it was only days ago she was being called transphobic.
It all started when Kelly decided to do a Cameo for a fan after a couple of drinks. The reality star was asked to do a Cameo for a woman named Jennifer. On the app, Cameo allows a user to label themselves by their gender. Jennifer had hers labeled she/her, which set of Kelly. Kelly launched into a rant that appeared to mock the transgender community.
She released a statement days later apologizing for the video. The former Bravo star said, "Here's the thing: I've been doing Cameos now for two years, and I never saw the pronoun thing before."
"This was the first time. I saw a reference of he, him, she, they, them. I grew up in Arizona with people that were born a boy or a girl, and maybe a hermaphrodite here and there, but that's how I grew up. I grew up that way and so did everybody in my era."
Kelly said she was doing her best to learn and not make the same mistake again.
Despite her apology, fans started coming for her after she hit up Strut this weekend accusing her of trying to make nice with the LGBTQ+ community. Kelly fired back at the claims saying she's known the owner of the bar for years.
Kelly said she not only knew the owner for Strut for years but the DJ who was performing was the DJ at her wedding to Rick. She told the critics to back off and find something else to be mad about.
