If Kanye West can't live with Kim Kardashian, he'll settle for the next best thing.
The 44-year-old rapper has just closed in on a new home that's conveniently located across the street from his estranged wife and their four children.
Kanye's new Hidden Hills abode is quite modest compared to the estate he used to share with the 41-year-old beauty mogul. Built in 1955, the property spans 3,651 square feet across a 1.07 acre of land, and contains 5 bedrooms and 3-and-a-half bathrooms.
The house boasts a large outdoor swimming pool, a horse corral and stable for three horses, and a large one-car garage.
Internally, however, the home is outdated and in need of major renovations. In fact, many bedrooms feature built-in storage units, and at least one bathroom has carpeted floors.
Still, the floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that natural light floods the interior, which includes a large open stone fireplace.
According to The Daily Mail, West paid $4.5 million for the house, which the outlet reports is $421,000 over the asking price, just to ensure he wasn't outbid.
Though the Yeezy designer reportedly purchased a $57.3 million Malibu mansion in September, it's believed he has not yet lived there.
As RadarOnline.com reported, an anonymous source contacted celebrity gossip mecca Deuxmoi last week, making the subject line of their email, "homeless."
The insider claimed Ye had been living at Soho Warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles since his Dec. 9 Larry Hoover benefit concert alongside former nemesis Drake, during which the former publicly begged Kim to "run right back" to him.

As Deuxmoi pointed out, "we all know Kanye likes to work and reside in the same abode."
It's true. Earlier this year, West decided to shack up at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, to put the finishing touches on DONDA. It's also where he held the album's multiple listening parties.
It's unclear if the musician has been working on new music.
In October, West decided to put up one of his two Wyoming ranches for sale. At the same time, he also reportedly listed the Hollywood Hills bachelor pad he lived in when he and Kardashian first started dating.
Days later, court documents revealed Kim would be getting the estranged couple's multi-house Hidden Hills estate where she had been living with the exes' kids – 8-year-old daughter North West, 6-year-old son Saint West, 3-year-old daughter Chicago West and 2-year-old son Psalm West – since she filed for divorce in February.
Negotiations on the massive $60 million property were apparently so cordial that she reportedly even paid in cash to even things out.
"Kimye" forked over $20 million for the property back in 2014 and essentially rebuilt it from the ground up. At one point, they even purchased the land next door to expand their domain.
It's interesting that the SKIMS founder would be the one to keep the house in the divorce, given that its unique construction and monochromatic aesthetic were spearheaded by the rapper-turned-designer.
Meanwhile, Kim has seemingly tried to maintain a good rapport with the father of her children – even recently praising him for his eye for design – but things between the exes have gotten icy.
After Kanye's latest public plea to get back together despite her new romance with 27-year-old comedian Pete Davidson, Kim filed paperwork to become legally single while she and the rapper continue to iron out details pertaining to child custody and property division.
Additionally, she asked the court to drop West from her name.
To make matters worse for Kanye, he and his 22-year-old model girlfriend, Vinetria, recently broke up.
