Jamie Lynn Spears' Book 'Things I Should Have Said' Leaked Online After 'GMA' Interview, Days Before Its Set Release
The pages of Jamie Lynn Spears' book, Things I Should Have Said, are getting dissected after a copy leaked online following her dramatic performance on Good Morning America.
Britney Spears' 30-year-old little sister is being trashed on social media after fans of the pop star began reading her unreleased memoir for free on Thursday night.
There aren't really mixed reviews. Most people are on the same page, pointing out that despite Jamie Lynn claiming the book isn't about Britney, the Grammy winner's name pops up an awful lot.
Picking each chapter apart, fans took issue with one in particular called My Testimony, which references Britney's bravery on June 23, 2021, when she spoke out about her alleged "abusive" conservatorship in court.
Writing that when Britney used generic terms like "my family," she failed to "lift the veil on what or who is truly responsible for her challenges" and essentially put Jamie Lynn and her nieces' safety at risk.
"This chapter is where she really leans into the 'poor me' schtick," @facereality16 wrote, posting a photo of the excerpt from the book.
Chapter 5 is called Pregnancy and Perception, in which Jamie Lynn talks about her desire "to strike while the iron is hot" in order to "stay relevant" in Hollywood. Fans couldn't help but bring it all back to Britney, claiming the singer's little sister has "leached" onto the pop star her whole life.

Another cringeworthy paragraph in the book in when Jamie Lynn compares her success to Britney's, writing, "I am immensely grateful for my career and the events that have led me here, to the life I enjoy now. But that came from luck, hard work, and owning up to my mistakes along the way. My sister's diatribe assigns blame outward without any self-reflection."
Britney's Army claims that throughout the book, Jamie Lynn fails to take any responsibility for enabling her family's control over her older sister.
Jamie Lynn's book leak comes after she cried what many are calling "crocodile" tears on GMA after being asked about her "complicated" rift with her famous sister.
Of course, newly freed Britney had something to say. She admitted watching the interview and immediately called BS on her little sister.
