Dr. Dre is one step closer to finalizing his divorce from his estranged wife Nicole Young — with the music mogul handing over his financial records for her to review.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Dre and Nicole have exchanged all the required bank statements and tax documents. They also both filled out an income and expense declaration detailing what they bring in per month and how much they spent.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, earlier this month, Dre and Nicole hashed out a private settlement after fighting in court for months. The mogul’s ex believed she was entitled to half of his estate worth $1 billion.
She accused him of tearing up the prenuptial agreement years into their marriage. He denied the claim and demanded it be enforced.
Last month, Nicole demanded Dre cough up $4 million to help her pay divorce lawyers. She said it was unfair that he had hundreds of millions at his disposal.
In docs, Nicole said she only had around $1 million in the bank and accused Dre of trying to starve her out financially.
In a recent financial filing, Dre is clearly the party with more money. He listed his monthly income as $228,000.
Dre brings in around $84k in dividends/interest and another $120k from “sources.” In the past year, the mogul sold off Apple stock worth $73 million.
At the time of his filing, Dre had $182,744,809 in cash and checking/savings accounts. He had another $6 million in stocks and another $269 million in real and personal property.
Dre pulled in around $4 million in 2020 from his Dr. Dre business. In the past 12 months, the entertainer spent $3.2 million on mortgages, $156k on health care, $248k on groceries and $21k on his cell phone.
The records show he dropped another $2.3 million on entertainment and $104k on auto expenses. He also spent $177k on charity and $7.8 million on “gifts” for his children.
His total expenses total $17 million in the past year. The divorce has yet to be finalized
