Donald Trump may be ready to clean out more of his cabinet, RadarOnline.com has learned, as calls grow louder for him to fire Pete Hegseth.

The Defense Secretary has reportedly been on the hot seat amid his perceived "failures" in Iran, which is just days away from entering its sixth month – with no end in sight.

The president is reportedly considering taking an economical approach to his war in Iran.

As the war in Iran continues to take a huge toll on the nation's dwindling defense capabilities, President Trump looks to be changing tactics, proposing a crushing financial campaign against Iran.

The 80-year-old's threats of an "economic D-Day" come with a warning of "tremendous economic consequences" for countries that continue to do business with Tehran.

With the new strategy in place, critics say it's the perfect time to fire Hegseth. Former Brigadier General Shawn Harris, who also served as a U.S. military diplomat in Israel, told Radar the secretary has got to go.

"Pete Hegseth has failed both the American people and our service members by pushing us into this unnecessary war of choice with Iran," said Harris. "His reckless decisions have severely compromised our military readiness and damaged our standing on the global stage.

"The President needs to remove him immediately before he sets our foreign policy and vital alliances back by half a century."

Trump and Pete Hegseth reportedly clashed at Camp David.

Harris may soon get his wish. Trump reportedly angrily confronted Hegseth during a clash at Camp David, demanding why he had not been given the full story by Hegseth on munitions shortages amid the conflict.

More than 1,500 Patriot air-defense interceptor missiles have been used during the war, according to people briefed on the stockpile, while the remaining U.S. inventory is said to be fewer than 1,700.

The administration has pushed defense contractors to accelerate manufacturing, but rebuilding inventories could take years, with each missile costing anywhere from $4 to $14million a piece.

'The Pressure Is Now Being Felt'

Trump has relied on Hegseth's guidance throughout the war.

Senior U.S. and Western officials now say the campaign has eroded firepower elsewhere while production struggles to replace weapons quickly enough.

A senior defense source familiar with the concerns told Radar in an exclusive interview: "The pressure is now being felt well beyond the Middle East – every interceptor used in Iran is one that cannot be positioned somewhere else. The concern is that rivals can see that strain and may decide the window works in their favor."

Officials said the president had been warned before the campaign that U.S. inventories were under pressure and that a prolonged fight risked dipping into supplies needed for other potential conflicts.

Hegseth's approval ratings are the lowest of any of Trump's staff.

Hegseth's approval ratings are the lowest of any of Trump's staff.

If the past is any predictor, Hegseth's reign may be over any day now. According to polling data from Quinnipiac and Fox News, Hegseth is the least popular member of Trump's cabinet, with approval ratings below Vice President J.D. Vance, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

CNN chief data analyst wiz Harry Enten explained that Trump didn't hesitate to axe former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and former Attorney General Pam Bondi, as their approval ratings plummeted.

However, the dearly departed Trump staffers never received negative marks as low as Hegesth's are right now, which may be the final straw.

"There are definitely red lights flashing in the polls when it comes to Pete Hegseth’s job security," Enten confessed.
