Goodbye Jail: Danny Masterson Will Be Assigned His Prison and Transfer Date 'Within a Month'
Danny Masterson should know his prison fate by Thanksgiving. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Information Bureau told RadarOnline.com that the That '70s Show star-turned-convicted rapist is set to be assigned his transfer location and date within an estimated 30 days.
A representative from the department confirmed the news to this outlet on Tuesday, informing us that Masterson, 47, has four more steps in his SP status and will likely know where he's going next in "about one month" — meaning that the disgraced actor could be saying goodbye to his cell at the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles before the new year.
Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison last month for raping two women in the early 2000s during the height of his career. He's been holed up at the same jail since and will remain there until he's transferred to prison.
At the time of this post, the convicted criminal has not been assigned the location of where he'll end up next.
Masterson is reportedly under 24-hour surveillance, with jail deputies checking on him every 30 minutes to monitor his mental state after being handed a three-decades-long sentence. It's presumed he won't get the same kind of attention in prison.
RadarOnline.com obtained the jail's commissary list, revealing that Masterson's loved ones can buy him $68 worth of commissary snacks, drinks, and hygiene necessities — but they need to hurry because he won't be able to smuggle the goods into his next facility.

Masterson's prison transfer isn't the only life change he's expecting. His wife of 11 years, actress Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce before their twelfth wedding anniversary. The inmate gave up legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old daughter, asking only for visitation in the confines of a California state prison.

It's also reported that Masterson was allegedly expelled from the religious group. A source told Daily Mail that the organization has deemed the longtime believer a suppressive person "for not maintaining the high ethical standards for the Church of Scientology, and other reasons – but not because he was convicted of rape."
However, a spokesperson blasted the source as someone who is not credible and "dangerous."
This outlet broke the story — protesters gathered outside the church's Celebrity Centre in Hollywood, CA, over the weekend, holding up signs of Masterson's face and accusing the organization of covering up his sex crimes.
When RadarOnline.com reached out to Scientology about the protest, a church representative said, "The group that you are referring to was allegedly against sexual predators. One of the people in the group has a felony conviction for sexual assault of a minor. He served time for his crime. He has a long rap sheet including bank robbery and illegal possession of firearms. He came off probation in June 2023. It is all in public documents."
