Camila Cabello Quits Social Media, Reveals She Needs 'Detox' After Being Dumped By Shawn Mendes
Camila Cabello is quitting social media following her very public split from Shawn Mendes — but don't worry, Camilizers, it's not forever.
The 24-year-old newly single star revealed the news on Sunday, informing her 59.5 million Instagram followers she was taking a much-needed break.
Revealing she was going on a "lil social media detox," Camila promised she's going silent "till the new year." While she didn't mention the breakup, she did give a reason for the social media blackout.
"Just wanna spend a little less time on my phone this week," Camila told her followers. The timing of her decision is interesting, considering Shawn dumped her just one month ago.

The couple was dating for two years before revealing they were ending their relationship last month, but RadarOnline.com learned it was over before their big breakup announcement.
Sources told us that Camila was asking for advice about breakups during a flight from Miami to L.A. in November. She was also overheard telling her friend that she wanted to avoid causing a scene and "sobbing" during the plane ride.
Hours after we broke the story, the pair revealed they decided to go their separate ways. Releasing a joint statement, Camila and Shawn said, "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."
It was later reported that Shawn made the move and dumped Camila. After their breakup, they both packed up and got the hell out of Dodge.
Camila sold her Hollywood Hills mansion, where she spent plenty of time with her Canadian ex. Shawn packed a bag and went on a solo vacation to Costa Rica.
Camila didn't stay sad for long. The singer was spotted with a mystery man on the East Coast just last week. It's also been reported she's back on dating apps.
