Brian Laundrie's Parents Christopher & Roberta Now Claim Son Has Been Missing Since September 13th, Not 14th As They Previously Alleged
Brian Laundrie's parents have changed their tune and are now claiming the last time they saw their son was September 13, not 14, as they previously told police.
Christopher and Roberta Laundrie's attorney surprised the world when he revealed the bizarre mix-up, which comes 21 days after they first revealed Brian had disappeared.
On September 17, Brian's parents announced he was missing after allegedly telling them he was going on a solo hike in the Carlton Reserve three days before — which would have been September 14.
This has been Christopher, Roberta, and their lawyer's narrative for almost three weeks, until today.
In a statement released through WFLA reporter Josh Benson, Steven Bertolino stated: "The Laundries were basing the date Brian left on their recollection of certain events. Upon further communication with the FBI and confirmation of the Mustang being at the Laundrie residence on Wednesday September 15, we now believe the day Brian left to hike in the preserve was Monday September 13."
Remember, this is the last time Brian's parents claim they saw their son.

Bertolino also revealed that Brian "flew home" all by himself on August 17 to "empty" a storage unit he shared with Gabby, leaving his fiancée behind on their road trip.
"Brian flew home to Tampa from SLC on 08/17 and returned to SLC on 08/23 to rejoin Gabby," the family lawyer stated on Tuesday. "To my knowledge, Brian and Gabby paid for the flights as they were sharing expenses."
According to Bertolino, "Brian flew home to obtain some items and empty and close the storage unit to save money as they contemplated extending the road trip."
On Monday, Brian's sister, Cassie Laundrie, decided to speak out, despite the FBI's efforts to keep her silent. She unleashed on her family, claiming they have turned their back on her in the wake of the investigation.
Cassie also stated that she didn't know if her parents were involved in anything connected to the horrific events that took place last month.
Christopher and Roberta aren't the only family members that Cassie isn't confident in. When asked if she believes Brian killed Gabby, his sister responded, "I don't know."
Gabby's body was found on September 19 in a remote area of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, near a campground where she and Brian had allegedly visited. The coroner ruled Gabby's death a homicide.
A manhunt is currently underway for Brian with the FBI and Dog The Bounty Hunter determined to catch the 23-year-old fugitive.
