Meghan McCain is putting an end to rumors!

The talk show host, 35 , visited Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live and cleared up the rumors regarding her role in friend, Abby Huntsman’s departure from The View.

“I think she was genuinely conflicted about her dad running for governor and not helping, and that is the reason why she left,” she said on the January 28 episode.

Though McCain confessed the two had gotten into “a very small fight, a friend fight,” she insisted it was an inevitable occurrence in their friendship that has long been misinterpreted by the media.

“All friendships have their ups and downs, and it was bizarre to me, and I think bizarre for her, that the fact that we got into one fight during the two years we worked on the show… to be dissected under the media, to be weaponized,” McCain told Cohen, 51. “It’s been really emotionally taxing to have like, our friendship used this way in the media. It’s taken a real toll on me. I wish it would stop. I think we are working on an intense show during an intense time… I’m just trying to do my job,” she concluded.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, after roughly one year at The View, Huntsman, 33, announced she was leaving the daytime talk show to assist her father, Jon Huntsman, in his campaign for governor of Utah, and to spend more time with her family.

Page Six later reported a “toxic”, “unhealthy,” and “intense” work environmentwhere she was often treated “like s**t” could have been the impetus behind her exit — in addition to alleged tensions between “rude” McCain and her co-hosts.

In addressing the rumors with the Bravo host, McCain actually attributed Huntsman’s time on The View to their friendship.

“Abby and I have been friends for 10 years; our parents were friends, we worked at FOX News together,” she said. “Part of the reason she came to The View is because we’re friends. We are still very good friends! We’re very close; I just talked to her yesterday morning.”
