Justin Bieber is giving fans the real reason behind his battle with depression: Lyme disease.
In his upcoming YouTube documentary, Justin Bieber: Seasons, the singer, 25, reveals he experienced various health ailments and was treated with a slew of medications for months prior to being diagnosed in late 2019.
In August 2018, fans were shocked to see photos of Bieber crying uncontrollably in his car and looking miserable with wife Hailey Baldwin. In some shots, the model, 23, was seen crying with her man while holding his face in her hands. Fans immediately assumed the "Sorry" singer was having second thoughts about his fast-moving relationship with Baldwin and thinking of his on-and-off romance with Selena Gomez.
A source who spotted Bieber sobbing next to Baldwin at the Leaky Cauldron bar in Orlando, Florida's Universal Studios in November 2018 said he was “obviously” heartbroken over Gomez, 27. “He was crying and his hair was really greasy. It was a very emotional moment for sure,” said the onlooker.
Months later, in March 2019, Bieber admitted to his social media followers that he was struggling with mental health.
“Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys,” he wrote in a candid Instagram post at the time. “Just feeling super disconnected and weird. I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me."
Soon, sources reported Bieber was attending counseling and relying on his church pals to keep him stable. He was seen entering his church various times with Baldwin.
