Kevin Hart is appreciating life after his near-fatal car crash.
This Tuesday, October 29, the actor and comedian took to Instagram to share an emotional homemade video of the horrific accident, including clips of his recovery post-surgery, and of him surrounded by his family.
“September 1, 2019 I was involved in an accident,” reads a message at the start of the video. “My world has forever changed.”
Soon, a voice-over of Hart, 40, begins, as scenes from his life flash on the screen.
“Basically, what you realize is that you're not in control. No matter how much you think you're in control, you're not in control,” he says. “At the end of the day, it can all be over, man.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the Central Intelligence star suffered a major back injury during a crash on Mulholland Highway in the Malibu Hills. Friend Jared S. Black, was driving the car at the time, while his fiancé — who’s also Hart's wife's personal trainer — Rebecca Broxterman was a passenger, like Hart.

Police said Black, 28, was not under the influence of alcohol at the time, but simply lost control of his vehicle while on the highway. The collision caused the car to flip over, injuring both Hart and Black. Both were rushed to the hospital while Broxterman — who sustained minor injuries — went to seek her own aid.
A few weeks after the crash, RadarOnline.com reported Hart would be facing up to four months of physical therapy. However, the actor was on the road to recovery and staying positive.
“Your true fans were concerned, praying & missing you deeply. thank you ALL for your kind words and allowing us to heal during this time,” Hart’s wife, Eniko Parrish, commented on his Instagram video post this week.
